There are many pressures both socially and personally that a parent can be impacted by. All of these factors can also put intense pressure on your relationship with your partner and then lead to developing unhealthy coping mechanisms such as excess caffeine consumption, poor diet and even alcohol or drug dependence. This all makes for a gradual but detrimental affect on your health and affects your ability to cope with the many challenges of parenting.
These situations and more can lead to Postpartum Depression also known as Postnatal Depression which affects one in 10 women and also affects as many as 30% of men and could be affecting you!
